When I got tired of running from you I stopped right there to catch my breath There your words they caught my ears You said, "I miss you son. Come home" And my sins, they watched me leave And in my heart I so believed The love you felt for me was more than The love I'd wished for all this time And when the doors were closed I heard no I told so's I said the words I knew you knew Oh God, Oh God I needed you God all this time I needed you, I needed you
And I so hate consequences And running from you is what my best defense is I hate these consequences Because I know that I let you down Now I don't wanna deal with that
Wow. Back in the states again. Spent a whole lot of time with Kim. Being married is such a blessing. I don't know where to start. I'm so glad that we saved ourselves for each other. To all those younger men out there, it is totally worth it, whether you have been saving yourself or are now choosing to live a born again life under grace. God is just so awesome.
The Bahamas were awesome. We had a crazy time sailing, snorkeling, and Kim learned to swim. I'd definitely want to go again and go on wild excursions to all of the islands or chill with dolphins and sharks. Just having some down time in our crazy lives was enough of a reward itself. More over God just blessed us with the weather, which was earlier predicted for rain during our stay, which ended up being clear skies until the very day we left.
Proudly, I can say Kim learned how to swim super quick and she can now swim independently. Woot, woot, woot! We spent some of our time swimming in the ocean. The water is so salty that when you inhale it the inside of your nose burns. And at dusk fish come in with the tide. We got a chance to bring an underwater camera with us and snapped some shots of us chasing after the fish underwater. Kim loved snorkeling too. Though it was terrifying to be in the open sea at first she really grew a liking to it once we settled in.
Learning how to sail was some serious fun too. If you don't know I've always wanted to learn how to go sailing. Learning how to use the wind and getting excited about wind sports has totally been building up from the last few years. Of course, it's generally thought of as something that's more esoteric or elite but it was just surprising to me how much easier it was than I had first thought. In fact, perhaps I might want to plan some sailing trips? Or might we start a sailing ministry, sailing missionaries to inaccessible remote islands? Think of the possibilities people. Hahaha.
We used a two boat with a single sail similar to the following. Yet another blessing the winds were calm and good for learning and in addition varied enough for us to learn the variety of how to handle calm and choppy waters. I must be straight with you our version of sailing was more like the A-B-C's of sailing rather than what's below.
In general, it was just such an awesome time and I'm sure we only scratched the surface. A group trip any takers?
So for those of you who don't know. Chamomile passed away. Poor thing. It's cold now. It looks like Charles isn't doing too well either. I'm not sure if he's eating his food anymore. I changed his water today and his shell is awfully soft.
If he gets better soon. We've been thinking about placing Charles and Billie together in the same tank. When we first got them we put Charles in there and he almost got eaten. I'm going to try to reintroduce them and give them the best possible set up for getting along with each other. We're going to try a couple of things to reduce the predatory response: introduction at night, full dinner, offset habitat.
Wow, xanga has really changed. I don't like it anymore. The only problem is that all my blogging is stored here. I don't want to depart from all my old posts either. So I guess I'm stuck here. I should have run my own blog and just migrated every time I wanted to switch blogging engines. Oh well. Hopefully someone will change Xanga and it'll become awesome once again.
